Metallica arrived on stage to ‘Hit The Lights’ and then went storming straight into ‘Master of Puppets’ without stopping. Having seen them often it does start me thinking about what songs I want to hear live, and even though I knew they were doing The Black Album in its entirety I did still have a wish list of tracks I wanted to hear one of which was the first song of the night. This was the twelfth time I’d seen them live, and they still didn’t disappoint! The Black album is one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed records of all time, with global sales of over 35 million, and contains a series of unrelenting singles, “Enter Sandman,” “The Unforgiven, “Nothing Else Matters, “Wherever I May Roam,” and “Sad But True.” The standard album is remastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering and all other content is remastered by Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering. It’s finally here – Metallica’s eponymous album, better known as The Black Album – is remastered and will be available everywhere on September 10 th.
